As BAHons Programme Leader, Tom is involved in developing and facilitating training for TMA ITTP, specifically for the three year undergraduate BAHons course.

As part of this role, Tom works alongside tutors at Birmingham City University to develop the undergraduate course and is involved in organising the training sessions, bringing together specialists from within the Trust and wider partnership. If you are a prospective trainee teacher, Tom will oversee your progress through the course and will work with you during many of your core training sessions.  Tom also works closely with the mentors (School Based Trainers) across the partnership, delivering training to ensure trainees and students are supported effectively.


Background

Having worked in education for twenty years, Tom has a huge breadth of experience as a leader and a teacher across the primary age range as well as having spent time volunteering on educational project overseas and completing his Masters. He is deeply passionate about working collaboratively to provide inclusive, engaging and transformative learning experiences for all children and students. Tom feels privileged to have the opportunity as a Senior Leader and Programme Leader to ensure all trainees and teachers have access to comprehensive, innovative, high-quality CPD and professional support to ensure they can thrive personally and professionally. He facilitates the NPQ in Leading Teaching and Learning and mentor training for the Early Career Framework.
