As Lead Tutor, Rachel is involved in developing and facilitating training for TMA ITTP, specifically for the three year undergraduate course starting in September 2018.
As part of this role, Rachel works alongside tutors at Birmingham City University to develop the undergraduate course and is involved in organising the training sessions, bringing together specialists from within the Trust and wider partnership. If you are a prospective trainee teacher, Rachel will oversee your progress through the course and will work with you during your core training sessions. Rachel also works closely with the mentors (School Based Trainers) across the partnership, delivering training to ensure trainees and students are supported effectively.
Rachel has worked in education for the past 10 years. She has worked as a teacher, a leader, a SENDCo, Deputy Head and as the Head of ITT. She is passionate about education and loves working with trainee teachers’; teaching really is the best job in the world and it’s very rewarding seeing so many trainees become such fantastic teachers.
